Metatextual, in its realisation via generative AI modelling, discerning viewers will recognise the title invokes the 'uncanny valley', that measure by which we judge human forms we can or cannot trust. It is both the hallmark and underbelly of our shared fascination for and and terror in hyperrealism, achieved in some generative AI works. The piece explores the symbolic power of the Valkyrie as a representational device for courage and even the transition from life to afterlife, in a world where we push faster and closer toward digital, unending lives and modalities of self and artistic representation.
