Manchester Art Fair is one of the UK’s most exciting art events — and this year, The WOWOW Gallery is bringing something a little different. Our curation blends contemporary flair, playful reimaginings, and an appreciation for traditional craft. Here’s a glimpse at what to expect when you find us on the fair floor.
Three Walls, Three Stories
We’ve designed our space around three distinct yet connected walls, each exploring a different mood and artistic language.
1. The Contemporary Wall
This wall celebrates our more abstract and conceptual artists - expect bold colour, layered textures, and pieces that invite interpretation. It’s a celebration of modern creative expression and the kind of art that makes you stop, stare, and think.
2. The Re-Mastered Wall (Our Main Feature)
At the centre of our display is a re-mastered series: playful, clever twists on some of the most recognisable works in British art. We’re particularly excited to show our new take on an L.S. Lowry print — a witty, unexpected remix that pays homage to the Northern icon while giving his world a fresh digital spin. This wall captures The WOWOW Gallery’s ethos perfectly: bridging classic and contemporary, with a wink.
3. The Oriental-Inspired Wall
Our third wall takes inspiration from Eastern design sensibilities — think turquoise, gold, and intricate line work. The palette feels luxurious yet calm, and threads of traditional motifs weave throughout, tying this display beautifully to the rest of our collection.
A Thread That Connects
Although each wall tells its own story, there’s a common thread that runs through them all - a respect for craftsmanship, heritage, and the dialogue between past and present. Whether it’s through AI-assisted creativity or reinterpretations of classical form, our artists are united by the idea of reimagining what art can be.
Art for Emerging Collectors
We’re also proud to be introducing our Under £1000 Collection at Manchester Art Fair. This section is designed for new collectors and young investors — offering an accessible way to start building an art collection without compromising on originality or quality.
